| A short story competition was organised by Department of English, Maulana Azad Memorial college Jammu on 8th feb,2022 under the able guidance of our worthy Principal, Dr G S Rakhwal. All the faculty members and students across various semesters participated in the event. All participants were welcomed by Prof Sarabpreet Kaur to this creative event and proceedings were conducted by Prof Himani Choudhary. Prof Ruth k Masehi, HOD English deliberated on importance of creative writing and highlighted its role in student’s intellectual growth. Large no of students presented their stories on various topic which were well crafted and made audience to be all ears. The involvement, enthusiasm, choice of short stories and participation by students were highly appreciated. The panel of judges of today event included Prof Amitpal Kaur, Prof Sanjay Singh, and Prof Atiya Noor. Maimuna Khan student of first semester secured the first position, Renu Bala student of 5th semester secured second position and Bhoomika Sharma student of third semester secured third position in this competition.
