Winter Camp Concludes at Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu
A week-long winter camp organized by NSS Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College, a constituent
college of Cluster University of Jammu concluded on 3rd March, 2022. The event which commenced on
25th February, 2022 under the abled guidance of College Principal, (Prof.) Dr. G.S. Rakwal and NSS
Coordinator of the Cluster University of Jammu Dr. Sandhya Bhardwaj, offered a cornucopia of events
ranging from environmental to social activities. The first two days of the Winter Camp were dedicated to
a special cleanliness and plantation drive in the college premises. Apart from planting the tree saplings,
the NSS Volunteers also exhibited their talent by drawing eye-catching logos with pebbles and other
materials to beautify the college surroundings. The following day an environmental rally was taken out
by the NSS volunteers. The next day, NSS Volunteers took a trip to Jakh village which was recently
adopted by the NSS Unit of the college and engaged in cleanliness activities in the village and its vicinity.
On 2nd March, a Blood Donation Camp was organized as a part of the winter camp in which the NSS
Volunteers donated the blood alongside the college faculty including the college Principal. He
congratulated the whole NSS team for delivering a stupendous event which presented the NSS
Volunteers with an enriching learning experience. The final day of the Winter Camp was left for a
valedictory function. Prof. Yudhveer Singh, retired principal, presently Corporator, JMC, J&K was the
Chief Guest, who along with the College Principal awarded the NSS Volunteers with certificates for their
selfless efforts and sincere commitment during the entire Winter Camp. The Welcome Address was
presented by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Koushal Kiran Thakur while the Vote of Thanks was presented
by NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Shabir Ahmed.
