Guest Lecture on Shaheed-e-Azam, Bhagat Singh
An online Guest lecture on the theme “Shaheed-e-Azam, Bhagat Singh” was organized by the Department of History, Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu under the patronage of the worthy principal of the college, Dr. G.S.Rakwal to pay a tribute to our great freedom fighter, Shaheed Bhagat Singh on the Martyr’s Day which is being celebrated on the 23rd March, 2022 in the country. Dr. Fayaz Hussain from GDC, Katra was the resource person of the programme. The event was attended by the dignitaries of the college viz., Dr. Ranjodh Singh Jamwal (HOD, History), Dr. Harbhajan Singh (Staff Secretary) and Dr. Mohinder Nath Sharma (HOD, Sanskrit) and Prof. Vijeta Anand (Assistant Professor in Political Science). The welcome address was presented by Prof. Dheeraj Kumar Bhardwaj (Assistant Professor in History) after which the principal of the college, Dr. G.S. Rakwal enlightened the audience with his valuable views on the theme. During his talk, Dr. Fayaz touched the important aspects of the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, like his early life, views on socialism, his inspiring revolutionary ideology etc. The whole session was so informative that it fills our hearts with the feeling of patriotism and nation building.
Lastly, the programme ended with a formal vote of thanks presented by Ms. Riya Verma, a student of B.A. Sem III.
