International Yoga day
Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu organizes a month long Yoga related activities to celebrate International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022 as part of Amrit Mahaotsav celebrations under the patronage and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) G.S Rakwal, Principal of the College. Various activities will be conducted under the banner of HOLISTIC HEALTH AND YOGA CLUB,M.A.M COLLEGE, JAMMU.

Principal, Prof. (Dr.) G. S Rakwal in his inaugural address welcomed all participants which comprised of College faculty and students. He dwelled at length about the importance of Yoga and advised students to make Yoga part of their lives to attain physical and mental well –being. He also deliberated on the scientific relevance of Yoga. The inaugural ceremony was held today to 6 am to mark the beginning of the series of the activities planned during the month
A week long workshop on Yoga from 23rd to 27th May started today in two sessions. The workshop will be divided into Morning session from 6 am to 7 am and evening session from 3:30 to 4: 30 pm. These Yoga sessions will spread through out this month till 21st of June 2022 along with other activities.

Mr. Raman Sharma, the Yoga instructor explained the various Asanas and their benefits and he also talked at length about the importance of inculcating Yoga into our everyday lifestyle. The inaugural session was a grand success as faculty members and students participated vibrantly and enthusiastically in the event. The program was convened by Dr. Gurdeep Kour, Prof. Ruth. K.
