On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, NCC Naval wing and Infantry wing of the MA M College , under the supervision of principal Prof. Dr. G.S. Rakwal, Major. Dr. Karan Singh and Dr.Anil Singh pledged not to consume the tobacco in any form and also pledged to spread the awareness among the masses on the side effects of use of tobacco and tobacco products. Prof. Dr. G. S. Rakwal lauded the efforts and role of NCC in motivating and encouraging students to stay away from tobacco products. He, further exhorted upon the cadets to make aware each and everyone in your neighborhood about the ill effects of tobacco.Dr. Ranjodh Singh Jamwal, Prof. Sanjay Sambyal and GCI Ekta were also present in the pledge ceremony.The Cadets of NCC Naval Wing of M A M College along with the Cadtes from GCW Gandhinagar and SPMR College of Commerce conducted the cleanliness drive on the banks of Tawi river at Bikram Chowk. The cleanliness drive was organized in collaboration with the 1 JK&L Naval Unit of NCC in connection with the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan. ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan’ is a nationwide flagship campaign to clean seashores/beaches and other water bodies, including rivers and lakes of plastic & other waste material. Principle, Prof. Dr. G.S. Rakwal appreciated the initiative taken by the NCC to intsill empathy among the students for the natureand making society aware about the preservation and cleanliness of water bodies. Dr. Anil Singh and GCI Ms. Ekta supervised the overall cleanliness drive. |
