The NSS unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College concluded its NSS Special Camp with a cleanliness drive in the campus. On the final day of the event, students and college faculty took part in the cleanliness drive to promote a cleaner and greener environment . On Friday, which was the penultimate day of the camp, the NSS team consisting of NSS volunteers and programme officers visited Jakh village situated in Samba district to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign. The team collaborated with the local village administration to reach out to the villagers and school students in order to make them aware of this campaign. A nukad natak or street play was also performed by the NSS team in front of the students of Higher Secondary School, Jakh. Through this, they wanted to highlight the detrimental effects of drug consumption on a individual’s life. The NSS Special Camp which was held over the span of an entire week saw many volunteers enthusiastically participate in a plethora of events under the Rashtriya Poshan Maah and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. College Principal Dr. G.S. Rakwal congratulated the NSS Unit on successful completion of the event. |
