Symposium Competition on the topic Breaking Gender stereotypes.
Internal Complaint Committee in collaboration with Gender Club and Shikshit Bharat Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College, a Constituent College of Cluster University of Jammu, conducted Symposium Competition on the topic Breaking Gender stereotypes.
The competition was conducted under the patronage of Principal, Prof. (Dr) G.S Rakwal. In his address to the students ,he highlighted various gender issues and stressed on how education can help to eliminate such gender stereotypes. A large number of students participated in the competition. He lauded the efforts of the students for participating in the competition. The Symposium competition was coordinated by Dr. Seema Jamwal, Convenor, Internal Complaint Committee, Prof. Meenakshi Thakur, Convenor Gender Club, Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra and Prof.Dheeraj Bhardwaj and Ms Vijeeta Anand, Nodal Officers, Shikshit Bharat.
Aditay Bhardwaj of Sem II stood 1st, Urwashi of Sem II stood 2nd and Shehraz of sem 1V came 3rd. The consolation prizes were given to Moheen and Ateeq of Sem IV. Riya Verma and Aman Sharma anchored the entire programme. The Competition was adjudged by Prof. Jozfeen Afzal, Head, Department of Education, Dr. Koushal Kiran from department of Urdu.
