| A debate competition was organized by the Department of Political Science and Sociology on the topic ‘Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in today’s World’ on 27th of September,2022. Students from both the departments participated in the competition, wherein, students spoke in favour of the motion as well as against the motion. Giving tough competition to her competitors Geetika student of 2nd semester secured first position whereas Urvashi and Ateeq both from second semester secured 2nd and third position respectively. Izha got first consolation prize and Eklavya got second consolation prize. Certificates were given to the winners as well as the participants. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Rakwal appreciated the students for meticulous presentation of their views. Judges of the event were Prof. Sarabpreet Kour (Department of English) and Dr. Inderjeet Kour (Department of Chemistry). The event was successfully co-ordinated by Dr. Seema Jamwal, Head Department of Political Science and Prof. Meenakshi Thakur, Head Department of Sociology. Prof. Lukesha Dabgotra, Prof, Vijeeta Anand, Dr. Neetika Sharma and Dr. Syed Nasir Ali Shah encouraged the students for their enthusiastic participation in the competition. |
