Participation of NSS unit in Save Tawi Campaign 2.0
The NSS Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu, a constituent college of Cluster University of Jammu participated in Save Tawi Campaign 2.0 organized by JKPCC (Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee), under the patronage of College Principal Prof G.S. Rakwal. JKPCC is committed to tackling the pollution problem in the UT of J&K by focusing on various areas ranging from terrestrial to aquatic regions which are affected by pollution. The event specifically emphasized on the cleaning of Tawi which has been polluted in the recent years by the large influx of non-biodegradable waste and other unwanted materials. This campaign was a two-day event which commenced on 3rd October, 2022 in which the NSS volunteers of the college played their part by actively participating in the campaign. The volunteers were accompanied and supervised by NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Koushal Kiran Thakur.
