| Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu organized awareness camp under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan (UBA) about importance of voting in our society at Government Higher Secondary School Khanna Chargal. Assistant Professor, Gagandeep Jangral apprised the students of benefits of voting in elections for democracy. He stressed on the fact that students are the best messengers for motivating other members of society for voting. The Constitution has bestowed right to vote to all persons who have attained 18 years of age irrespective of their religion, caste , gender, economic or educational status. Registered voters should participate whole-heartedly in elections and express their voice. It builds a sense of confidence, freedom and mpowerment among the people. The Principal of the school Smt. Pinky Gupta thanked Mr. Gagandeep for spreading awareness for benefit of the whole rural society . Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan seeks to actively engage Higher Educational Institutions with rural areas for their development. |
