MAULANA AZAD MEMORIAL COLLEGE CELEBRATES NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY
The NSS Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College, a constituent college of Cluster University of Jammu under the patronage of Principal Prof. Surinder Kumar organized a Poster Making Competition in collaboration with IQAC to celebrated National Education Day on 11th of November, 2022.
National Education Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was first Education Minister of independent India. He was awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously, India’s highest civilian honour in 1992. The day is observed to celebrate the work done by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in the education sector during his tenure as the education minister.
Dr. Namita Singh (Asst. Prof. Computer Sciences) enlightened the audience on the need to organize such a program. The competition was judged by Dr. Namita Singh (Asst. Prof. Computer Sciences) and Mr. Vimal (Asst. Prof. Geology). Group F (Asif, Toiba Raza and Anamika Devi), Group C(Mubsher Shah, Jaspreet Kour, and Sania Bali) and Group A (Mohd. Idreess, Farhat Salim, Arushi Verma, Sneha Momaliya) secured first, second and third positions respectively in Poster Making Competition. The event was coordinated by Rahul Thakur and Mohd. Faisal under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers Dr. Koushal Kiran Thakur and Mr. Shabeer Ahmed.
