International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu Celebrates the theme on the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Dr Navneet Kaur founder Chairperson of NGO SUPPORT, National Chairperson of National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India, who is also the Executive Member of the Gender Harassment Committee of GMC and many Govt organisations organised a Campaign and awareness programme in the College . The main aim & objective of Dr Kaur was to,
"UNiTE! Activism to End Violence against Women & Girls!" . She stressed safer environments for women and girls at home and in the workplace.
Principal Dr Surinder Sharma stressed that Her takeover will inspire many girls to take up policing to protect children and women from violence and abuse. She paid stress upon an equitable society where both genders need to respect each other
On the occasion Dr Ranjodh Singh, Dr Shahnwaz, Dr Atiya Noor, Prof Lukesha Prof Amitpal Kour and Prof Sanjay Singh were present. Dr Navneet Kaur honoured the Principal and the programme ended with a vote of thanks from Prof Sanjay Singh.
