MAM College Organizes Alumni Meet on 28th of October 2017
An Alumni Meet was organized in the Government MAM College today where a galaxy of alumni from varied batches participated.
The Meet started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Alumni, College Principal Prof Ajeet Angral and staff members. A Saraswati Vandana by the students of Music Department welcomed the Alumni to their alma-mater. An impressive guard of honour was given by the NCC Cadets of the College.
Prof Bhawana Khajooria welcomed the Alumni members and apprised them of the various measures initiated by the administration in making the College a hub of knowledge and excellence
Prof Ajeet Angral, in his address, highlighted achievement of the College students in varied fields like Sports Academics and Co-curricular Activities. He emphasized on the significant role of the Alumni as stakeholders in the upgradation of the institution at multiple levels He also gave a brief profile of the Courses being offered to the students to compete in the outside world. The students of the Music Department also gave a cultural performance and impressed the audience with their talent.
The event was made memorable with a plantation drive wherein the Alumni planted saplings in the College Campus in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Ecology and remote sensing.
The Alumni appreciated the efforts of the College administration and opined that these get-togethers should be organized more frequently. The Alumni also took a tour of the whole campus and shared their nostalgic memories in the interactive session. Members of the Alumni Committee, Dr Shiveta Gandotra, Prof Sajaad, Prof Aanchal, Prof Vijeeta, Prof Savita and Prof Richa were present on the occasion.
The programme was anchored by Sanchit Raina and Rakshit Sharma of Semester 3rd. Dr Banpreet Kour delivered the formal vote of thanks. Ashwani Kumar (Aaj Tak Buear Chief), Gambhir Charak (Educationist) Prof Sujat Khan (HoD BCA GDC Hiranagar), Ranjeet Kalra (Member BCCI and Advisor on Sports to Lt Governor Lakshadweep) were among those who were present on the occasion.
