| Anti – Ragging Committee , Maulana Azad Memorial College , Jammu , a constituent college of Cluster University Jammu celebrated Anti – Ragging Day on 12th August and also Anti – Ragging Week w.e.f 12th to 18th August 2023. The week long celebrations started with the orientation programme on Anti –Ragging for the students. The Committee members Prof. Sanjay Singh, Prof. Sudesh Kumar and Prof. Mohinder Nath Sharma conducted orientation sessions with the students of the college in order to create awareness among them against the menace of ragging . Various other activities like Slogan writing and Logo designing were conducted under the supervision of Prof. Inderjeet Kour and Prof. Anupma Kumari. Similarly , Poster making was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Seema Jamwal and Prof. Meenakshi Thakur during the celebrations. Students were also shown the documentary on ragging under the supervision of Prof. Vishally Sharma. On 18th August , the last day of Anti – Ragging Week the students and faculty of the college gathered for felicitating the participating students . The convenor of the committee , Prof. Jozafeen Afzal formally welcomed the gathering and presented the details of the activities conducted during the week .The Principal of the college Dr. G. S. Rakwal congratulated the gathering and emphasised the need for holding awareness programmes against ragging in future also, so that the college remains ragging free in future too. Prof. Sanjay Singh conducted the proceedings of the event . The week long celebrations concluded by presenting the certificates by the Principal to the students who participated in different activities during the week long celebrations .
