| The department of Urdu, M.A.M College Jammu organized a program on the eve of International Urdu Day under the guidance of Dr Sanjay Karlupia officiating principal MAM College & Prof Neeraj Sharma Convenor IQAC in collaboration with IQAC.The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr.Shahnaz Qadr, H.O.D Urdu which was followed by special performance of a group of students by singing Allama Iqbal ‘s “Saray Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara” then the other students in their speech’s highlighted the importance of Urdu day. They spoke In their speeches theyabout the origin n importance of Urdu and said that Urdu is purely an Indian language & we Indians should feel proud on it. They quoted some beautiful verses of Iqbal to support the celebrations of Urdu dayThe speakers also spoke on valuable thoughts about relevance of Urdu day. College students & H.O.Ds of all the departments including Dr Munir Hussain,Dr Seema Jamwal, Prof Minakshi Thakur,Prof Lokesha, Prof Shambu Dr Swati & Dr Davika also grace the occasion by their presence .The proceedings of the program were conducted by a fifth semester student Maimoona Khan &The vote of thanks was presented by a fifth semester student Saquib Farooq. |
