| The department of Urdu, Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu organized a Mehfil-e-Mausooqi programme in which the students of GDC boys Pulwama who were on their tour to Surat Gujarat for Kashmiri youth exchange program organised Nehru Yuwa Kendra Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India The event was organised by department of Urdu under the able guidance of Prof Neeraj Sharma officiating principal MAM College Jammu.The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr.Shahnaz Qadri, which was followed by special performance of a group of students by singing a song ”ya tuli khanjar marey” then the other students performed by singing the Gazals of Mirza Ghalib . The students were escorted by Dr Mohammed Shafi Dar & Prof Abdul Hamid who spoke on the importance of this literary and cultural tour. The heads of various departments were present in the function professor Neeraj Sharma was the chief guest of the occasion. College students & H.O.Ds of the various departments including Dr Shivalika,Dr Warsha Kapoor Dr Jyoti Rani, Prof Nazia Choudhary ,Prof Vijeta Aanand & Prof Shambir Ahmad also grace the occasion by their presence .The proceedings of the program were conducted by a fifth sem student Atieq Sheikh &The vote of thanks was presented by Dr Akhtar Hussain |
