| A poster making competition was organised today in the Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu by Departments of Political Science and Public Administration in collaboration with NSS and UBA wings of the college. The programme was organised as part of National Voter’s Day which is celebrated every year on 26 January. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Principal Dr Gurdev Rakwal. He addressed the students and motivated them for participating in different activities for spreading electoral education. Prof. Neeraj Sharma IQAC Convener was also present. A large number of students participated by drawing beautiful posters depicting the theme of voting in democracy. The theme this year is ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure’.Prof Shivali Gupta and Dr Varsha Kapoor acted as the judges . The whole programme was coordinated by Dr Seema Jamwal HOD Political Science , Prof Lukesha Dubgotra NSS Programme Officer and Prof Gagandeep Jangral HOD Public Administration and Coordinator Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan . Faculty members who were present included Dr. Jewan Lal Dhar, Dr Vibhuti Ubbott , Dr Om Raj Katoch and Prof Shambhu Manhas. The first position was secured by Sneha Sharma( First Sem,) while the Second and Third position was secured by Diksha Bhau ( Third Sem) and Akshar Goswami (Fifth Semester) respectively. The Consolation Prize was bagged by Shivali Chib of Fifth Sem. The Certificates of appreciation were were distributed by Principal Dr Gurdev Rakwal and Prof Neeraj Sharma. |
