| Career Counselling and placement cell of the Maulana Azad Memorial College organised a awareness lecture on 22nd March 2024 on Female cancer by Dr Surbi Kudiyar Associate Consultant Surgical Oncology from American Oncology Centre Jammu.She discussed that it is the second most common type of cancer after breast cancer in women and explained the symptoms of Breast cancer, Cervical cancer. She advised maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, breastfeeding, avoiding alcohol, keeping cancer away, and self-breast examination at regular intervals helps identify cancer at the initial stage. She said that breast screening at regular intervals and awareness about vaccines keeps cancer away and gave information about breast and cervical cancer tests. Prof (Dr) B.B Anand advised that regular Physical exercise, Yoga, and diet can reduce cancer risk. Screening can identify the early signs of Cancer. The session concluded with screening of the faculty and students .Members of Career Counselling cell, faculty members and students attended the programme . |
