| Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu celebrated International Women's DayOn 07/03/2024, NSS Unit in Collaboration with Career Counselling Cell of Maulana Azad Memorial College celebrated International Women's Day under the patronage of worthy Principal of the college Prof. Dr. B.B. Anand. In this pretext a lecture on the theme “Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace” was organized in the college. The resource person for the lecture was Dr. Kavita Suri, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. She discussed about the need of safety measures which should be adopted at the workplace.Prof (Dr) B.B. Anand appreciated the efforts put by the NSS unit and Career Counselling Cell of the college in organizing such a relevant event and insisted that such event should be organized frequently. He applauded the efforts of NSS family for organizing the camp. The welcome address was presented by NSS PO Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra. NSS Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu also concluded a week long Special Women's Week Camp by conducting valedictory ceremony in the abovesaid event. The camp report was presented by Dr. Kailash Sharma. All the female faculty members of the college(Teaching and Non-Teaching) were presented with gifts along with NSS Volunteers for their active participation in the event. Prof. Amitpal Kour, Convener Career Counselling Cell and Dr. Bharti Slathia were present during the event. The student coordinator for the event was Sania Bali. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Shabir Ahmed. |
