One week FDP Inaugurated at Govt. MAM CollegeThe inaugural session of one Week Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology was hosted by Govt. Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu. The programme was organized under the chief patronage of esteemed Vice Chancellor CLUJ, Prof Dr Bechan Lal and the patronage of Prof Dr. B.B. Anand, worthy Principal of the college.The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of lamp ceremony by the dignitaries gracing the occasion including Prof (Dr.) R. D Sharma, Former V.C University of Jammu, Prof. (Dr) Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, CLUJ, Prof. (Dr) Monika Sharma, Dean Faculty of Arts, CLUJ, and Head of institution and other senior faculty members of the college. Prof. (Dr) B.B Anand in his presidential address conveyed his pleasure on organizing the programme in the college premises for the professional growth and academic upliftment of the faculty members. Further, he highlighted the significance of fostering the research acumen of teachers by conducting such programme.Prof. (Dr) R.D Sharma, the keynote speaker, deliberated upon the various aspects of research methodology while emphasizing the need of quality research in order to maintain excellence in higher education. He apprised the participants of various sponsored projects by reputed agencies like U.G.C, I.C.S.S.R, D.S.J etc. The session ended with the presentation of a token of appreciation to the keynote speaker by Prof. (Dr) B.B. Anand Principal of the college. Also, the organizing secretary of the programme Dr. Bharti Slathia presented memento to Prof. (Dr) B.B. Anand. The first session was moderated by Dr. Indu Sharma, Dept of English, CLUJ.The second technical session of the FDP titled “Review of Literature” was delivered by Prof. Dr Tanima Dutta, Dept of Economics, LPU Jalandhar. She delineated in-depth information regarding the literature review and its utility for the researchers and provided a detailed account of qualitative and bibliometric analysis. At the end of the session, a formal vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Shivali Gupta. |
