In continuation to the series of events, under the banner of “77th Independence day celebrations”, NSS units in collaboration with NCC units and Department of Political Science, History and Philosophy and under the aegis of IQAC of Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu organised an Essay writing a competition on the theme "77 years of Indian Independence and Unsung Heroes" on 6th of August 2024 under the guidance and able leadership of the Principal, Prof.(Dr). B.B. Anand of the college. This program was organised as a part of the Independence Day Celebration program from Ist of August to 15th of August 2024 as per the directives issued by the Principal Secretary to the Higher Education Department, J&K. A number of students also participated in the Essay writing competition which was organised in the college. In this competition Muskan Manhas got the first prize, Isha Manhas and Manya Pandoh shared the Second Position, Dushyant won the third prize and Sujal Mehra got the consolation prize. Dr. Amit Pal Kour, Dr. Seema Jamwal, Dr. Bharti Slathia, Dr. Deep Chand and Prof. Shabeer were the judges in today's essay writing competition. Prof. (Dr) B.B.Anand Principal, Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu on this occasion highlighted the importance of celebrating 77 years of Indian Independence and sacrifices of Unsung Heroes of our freedom struggle. He also applauded the students for their participation. The whole event was organized by Dr. Kailash Sharma (NSS PO), Prof. Dheeraj Kumar Bhardwaj (NSS PO), Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra (NSS PO) Prof. Mohd Ashraf (NCC ANO) and Dr. Simran Raina (HOD Philosophy). |
