| Maulana Azad Memorial College, in conjunction with Cluster University's Dean of Student Welfare and the J&K Thalassaemia Welfare Society, Jammu, commemorated NSS Foundation Day on September 24, 2024. The event featured a blood donation camp and pledge, emphasizing genetic counseling and antenatal advice to mitigate Thalassaemia suffering. Principal Dr. B.B. Anand urged community participation, while Dr. Monika Sharma highlighted NSS's volunteerism and social responsibility. Er. Sudhir Sethi stressed the importance of regular blood donation for Thalassaemia patients. The event saw over 40 donations from students and staff, showcasing kindness and solidarity, and was organized by Amitpal Kour, Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra, Prof. Dr. Kailash Sharma, and Prof. Shiv Kumar, with support from Dr. Salve Sharma and the GMC Jammu Transfusion Medicine Department. |
