Visit of Vice Chancellor, Prof. K.S. Chandershekhra, to Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu

Jammu, 6th December 2024: The Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. K.S. Chandershekhra, paid an official visit to Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu on December 6, 2024, marking a significant engagement between the university administration and the academic community of the college.
The visit began with a Welcome Address by the Principal of the College, Dr. B.B. Anand, who extended a warm reception to Prof. Chandershekhra and the accompanying dignitaries. Dr. Anand highlighted the collaborative potential between Maulana Azad Memorial College and Cluster University of Jammu, emphasizing the role of such visits in fostering academic and administrative synergy.
A key highlight of the visit was the Tree Talk session, in which Prof. Chandershekhra, together with O.P. Vidyarthi, IFS, engaged in a lively and informative discussion with students on the importance of environmental sustainability. The talk underscored the need for collective efforts in promoting eco-friendly practices and environmental conservation, particularly among the youth.
The college staff extended a warm facilitation ceremony to the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, Ms. Ankur Mahajna, and the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Ranvijay Singh, acknowledging their continuous support and contributions to the development of the academic and administrative framework of the university.
A Brainstorming Session with the college faculty followed, focusing on various academic and administrative matters, including issues related to examinations, research, internships, and the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). The session provided an opportunity for open discussions aimed at improving institutional processes and enhancing the overall academic experience for students.
Prof. Chandershekhra also visited various departments, including Chemistry and Psychology, where he interacted with faculty members and students. This walk-through provided valuable insights into the academic atmosphere and infrastructural needs of the departments.
The visit served as an important step toward strengthening the relationship between Cluster University of Jammu and Maulana Azad Memorial College, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and academic growth.
