NSS and NSS-SFU Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College Organize Special Symposium on ‘Impact of Lifestyle on Long-Term Health’

The NSS and NSS-SFU Unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College successfully organized a special symposium today on the topic ‘Impact of Lifestyle on Long-Term Health’ as part of a special camp aimed at promoting health awareness and well-being among students and the community.

The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal of MAM College, who emphasized the importance of inculcating healthy habits from a young age to ensure a disease-free future. Dr. Rajshree Dhar, Dean of Student Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu, attended as the special guest, along with Prof. Neeraj Sharma, Convener of IQAC, and NSS Program Officers Prof. Lukesha, Prof. Dheeraj, and Prof. Kailash Sharma, who shared their insights on preventive healthcare measures.

Students actively participated in discussions, presenting research and case studies on lifestyle-related health concerns. The interactive session encouraged dialogue on the impact of modern lifestyle choices on long-term health and ways to mitigate potential risks.

Expressing gratitude to all participants, Prof. Lukesha reaffirmed the NSS unit’s commitment to promoting social responsibility through health education initiatives. The event concluded with a pledge by students and faculty members to adopt healthier lifestyles and spread awareness within their communities.

This symposium marked yet another milestone in the college’s ongoing efforts to empower young minds with knowledge that contributes to a healthier society.
