Jammu, 12th August — The Divisional Level National Anthem Competition took place today at Government College for Women, Gandhinagar, as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations. The event featured enthusiastic participation from various colleges across the region, showcasing the patriotic spirit and musical talent of the youth. Maulana Azad Memorial College emerged as the winner, securing the First Prize with an outstanding performance that captivated both the judges and the audience. The Second Prize was awarded to Government Degree College Samba, while Government Degree College Udhampur took home the Third Prize.The winning team members included Pranav Sharma, Priyanka Sharma, Sharad Chetri, Rajat, Khushboo, and Diksha.This competition served as a vibrant prelude to the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, reinforcing the values of unity, pride, and respect for national symbols. The event concluded with applause and appreciation for all participants who made the occasion memorable. The principal, Prof. Archana Kaul, commended the students and encouraged them to participate in similar events in the future. The students were accompanied by Professors Asha and Pooja Bhagat from the Department of Music at Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu. |
