| Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal along with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) members Prof Amitpal Kour(Convener), Dr. Bharti Slathia, and Prof. Shahbaz—and students, attended the IIC event organized in connection with the celebrations of Innovation Day 2025 at IIM Jammu.Prof Archana Kaul was invited as a panelist for “Cultivating the innovation Landscape of J&K”. Wherein she highlighted the college’s initiative in developing a Startup Hub, as the college is the Nodal College for Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Cluster University of Jammu and Institution Innovation Council Hub of Cluster University of Jammu. She talked about creating a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem in colleges by bringing together academia, industry, government, and young innovators on a common platform.She emphasized on hand-holding of Faculty by IIM for training that will help the teachers to further guide the students. The IIC members and start up students were felicitated by IIM Jammu. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of students and innovators.The IIC members assured the students of the college that IIC committee will coordinate for strong institutional support from DST- iTBI and from Mission YUVA.The programme was further enriched by the presence and insightful addresses of Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Sh. Shantmanu, IAS, Hon’ble Additional Chief Secretary, the Chief Guest; and Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of J&K, as the Guest of Honour, along with other distinguished dignitaries and eminent members of civil society. Their contributions added immense value to the deliberations and reinforced the importance of innovation-led development in the region. |
