One-Day Inter-College Lecture on the Indian Knowledge System held at the Govt. MAM College.
The Department of Business Administration (BBA) and Philosophy, Government M.A.M. College, Jammu, organized a One-Day Inter College Lecture on “Indian Knowledge System” for students and participants of the college.
The programme was held under the able leadership of the Principal, Prof. Archana Kaul, who emphasised the relevance of the Indian Knowledge System in shaping ethical, sustainable, and value-based education. She highlighted how traditional Indian wisdom contributes significantly to contemporary academic and professional disciplines.
Dr Ashwani Kumar Assistant Professor from the Centre for Comparative Religions and Civilisations Central University of Jammu was the resource person who delivered a lecture on “Contribution of Buddhist tradition in Indian Knowledge system “.The lecture aimed to raise students' awareness of India’s rich intellectual heritage, encompassing philosophy, science, management, ethics, and culture. Participants actively engaged in discussions, reflecting keen interest in the subject.
Dr Bharti Slathia Programme Convener, Prof Ajay Virdi, Prof Shiv Banal ,Dr Meenakshi Kapoor ,Dr Rajneesh ,Dr Parvez Jaral Dr Anit Kotwal ,Dr Parveen Kour and a large number of students from PSPS Gandhi Nagar College, SPMR Commerce College, School of Social Sciences CLUJ and Govt MAM College attended the lecture, making it a successful academic initiative.
Dr Simran Raina coordinated the event and highlighted the objectives of integrating Indian knowledge traditions with modern education. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Pallavi Bhagat acknowledging the efforts of the organising departments and the enthusiastic participation of students.
