| The Sports Department of Govt. MAM PG College, Jammu organized Chess Competition on 10 th March, 2021. The competition was held under the supervision of Mr S P Sharma, Chess Arbiter. The Principal of the College, Prof. Sunil Uppal exhorted the students to take part in sports activity for their overall personality development. He reflected his ideas on the importance in games in enhancing the mental ability to cope the stress during the adverse conditions. The Convener, Dr. Seema Jamwal lauded the efforts of the organizing team members including the Physical Director Ms Neenu and Assistant Physical Director, Ms Neelam Chalotra. She appreciated the students for the enthusiastic efforts and encouraged them to participate regularly in more sports activities. A total of eight students participated in the event. Imtiaz A. Shah, Nipun Memalua, Vinkle Uday Singh got first, second and third positions respectively. At the end of the event, refreshment was served to all the participants. The committee members who assisted in making this event a success included Prof Vijeyata, Prof Anupma and Dr Satinder. |
