| Department of Commerce, Govt. MAM PG College, Jammu in collaboration with Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) organized one day national webinar on “Importance of Due Diligence in Investing” under the guidance of Principal of the college Dr. G S Rakwal.The programme was coordinated by Ms Bhanu Priya, HoD Commerce. She introduced the guest speakers and also welcomed various participants. Mr. Harbinder Singh, Manager BSE was the keynote speaker on the occasion. He started his lecture with information regarding stock market. He also threw light on the importance of financial literacy for becoming a smart investor and on various concepts like mutual funds, inflation and so on. Then the session was handed over to the resource person of the programme, Mr. Sabzar Ahmad, RP-CDSL. He talked about the Demat account and also made the audience aware about varied aspects relating to demat account. After the sessions, an insightful question answer session was made open for the participants. All the queries of the participants were addressed by the experts. More than 500 participants including students, scholars, professors from across the states participated in the webinar. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Assistant Professor Mr. Mohd Ashraf. |
