Alumni Meet “ Milati” 2021
Govt. M A M College organized on online Alumni Meet “Milati” wherein the former alumni actively participated. Among them renowned figures also connected with their alma mater and shared their diverse experiences with the audience. The meet was held in an online mode because of the pandemic. Dr. G.S. Rakwal, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering and spoke of how alumni can be source of information, ideas and involvement. He exhorted that back to your alma mater through collaboration and co-creation of values and ideas is a rewarding and mutually beneficial exercise. In his address he presented a brief profile of the college and the achievements of the students in various extension activities. The event started with an extensive virtual tour of the College showcasing the infrastructural achievement of the institution.
Prof Neeraj Sharma Convenor IQAC of the College talked at length about the coming NAAC visit to the college and the ongoing preparations for the upliftment of the institution. He requested the alumni to share their valuable suggestions for the betterment of the college so that it excels in NAAC grading as it is one of the oldest institutions of the region.
Some of the prominent alumni shared their valuable opinion and experiences about the College. Mr.Gulchain Singh Charak, Dr. Satvir Gupta , Faisal Rishu , Mr. Sanjay Dogra, Mr. Vivek Sangotra ,Dr Dushyant Pradeep and Mr Ranjeet Kalra. Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak; former cabinet minister appreciated the initiative taken by IQAC for organizing such an event, Ranjeet Kalra; teaching faculty at HRDC Jammu University suggested that the prestigious alumunus of the college should be felicitated with awards. Dr Satvir Gupta (IPS) was nostalgic as he recalled his college days and lauded the team for their work. Mr Vivek Sangotra,renowned theater artist suggested that alumni meet should be organized regularly and Dr. Dushyant Pradeep ensured the continuous support to his alma mater.
All the members of IQAC participated in the event, Dr. Vishal Sharma conducted the proceedings of the meet while Dr. Banpreet Kour gave the formal vote of thanks.
