| Punjabi Department, Government M.A.M College, Jammu celebrating “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and organized a Lecture on Topic “Teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji.” The Lecture was Delivered by Prof.Baljeet Kour Head of Department of Punjabi University of Jammu. In this lecture Prof.Baljeet Kour highlights various aspects of Guru Nanak dev ji teachings. The most famous teaching attributed to Guru Nanak Dev ji are that there is only one god and he is present everywhere and in every living thing in the world, and that there are all human beings can have direct access to god with no need of ritual or priests. His most radical social teaching denounced the caste system and taught that look everyone with same perspective, men and women are equal, regardless of caste or gender. Do not think about doing bad deeds nor persecute anyone, help needy from earning of hard work and honesty. He taught all of us to stand against oppression and raise voice against the wrong. The lecture was organized under the able Guidance and supervision of Prof.Dr.G.S Rakwal Principal Govt. M.A.M College Jammu who always encourages the faculty members to organize such more events for the benefit of student community. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof.Shabeer Ahmed and Prof.Mohindernath sharma extended vote of thanks. Dr.Harbhajan singh H.O.D Punjabi and Dr.Kamaljeet kour Asstt.
