| In continuation to Intercollegiate Sports Tournament, Sports Department of Govt. M.A.M College, Jammu organised a Badminton Tournament. Dr. G.S. Rakwal, Principal, M.A.M College was the chief guest on the occasion. In his message he exhorted the students to take part in sports for their physical fitness and holistic development. He dwelt in detail about the importance of sports. Convenor of Sports, Dr. Seema Jamwal encouraged the students with her motivational words. She also lauded the efforts of the Committee members. The tournament was played under the overall supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator Cluster University of Jammu and Ms. Neenu , Physical Director, Govt. M.A.M College Jammu. In the women’s category, SPMR College of Commerce got a walkover from Govt. College of Education, Govt. M.A.M College defeated G.G.M Science College by 2-1 and GCW Gandhinagar defeated SPMR College of Commerce by 2-1. In the men’s category G.G.M Science College prevailed over S.P.M.R College by 3-1 and Govt. M.A.M College got a walkover from Govt. College of Education. Dr. Karan Singh, Dr. Joginder Singh, Prof. Kamaljeet Kour, Prof. Sonam Mehta, Prof. Vimal, Prof. Anil Singh, Physical Directors and team managers of different colleges including Dr. Roopali Slathia, Dr. Pooja Charak, Dr. Malik and Dr. Raman were also present on the event. The matches were officiated by Mr. Sanjay Khajuria, Mr. Devinder Singh and Ms. Rajni Jamwal. |
