M A M College Celebrates Human Rights Day
Department of Political Science, Government MAM College Jammu, organized a symposium competition on the topic ‘Significance of Human Rights’ on 10thof December 2021. The symposium competition was organized under the patronage of Prof. Dr. G S Rakwal, Principal of the College and was attended by Faculty and students of all streams. It was organized under the guidance of Dr. Seema Jamwal (HOD). The programme began with the welcome address by Prof. Lukesha Dubgotra from Department of Political Science. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr GS Rakwal emphasized that human rights are necessary to provide every human the basic dignity to live. He also reiterated that human rights give the people assurance that every individual is entitled to rights irrespective of race, colour, religion or social status. The Principal of the College appreciated the outstanding efforts of organizers and specially applauded the students for their active participation. A total of 7 students participated where 1st position was secured by Lakshita of Sem III, Deepak Paru of Sem V stood 2nd and 3rd position was shared by Umar Ayub and Divyanshi. Consolation prize was given to Riya Verma. Prof Neeraj Sharma, Coordinator IQAC, Prof Sanjay Karlupia , Prof Anupama graced the occasion and were also the judges on the occasion. The programme concluded with the formal Vote of thanks by Ms. Vijeeta Anand, Department of Political Science.
