| The placement and Career Counseling cell of Government MAM College organized a webinar on “How to build Successful Careers” under the patronage of Prof Sunil Uppal, Principal of the college. Prof Bharti Slathia, Convener of the Career counseling Cell welcomed the participants.Prof Sunil Uppal, Principal of the college and Chief Guest of the workshop in his inaugural address lauded the efforts of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell in organizing a Webinar on such a pertinent topic as it would give the young learners an opportunity to excel in their careers .He exhorted that the webinar was aimed at giving insight to participants for unlocking their real potential. He stressed that in order to excel in life, one has to be passionate and dedicated enough to carve a niche for themselves.Mr. Debashish Gosh, Vice President and Country HR Head, Berkadia, a Berkshire Hathway and Jefferies Financial Services Co. emphasized on inculcating values and practices contributing an enjoyable workplace and professionalism. In his sessions, he focused on adopting different approaches for successful careers like, not being afraid of taking calculated risk, focussing on “soft skills”, strengthening emotional intelligence and moving beyond comfort zones. During the Q&A session he addressed all the doubts and queries raised by the participants who keenly listened to his observations.Dr. Banpreet Kour, Covener of the Career Counseling Cell, extended the formal vote of thanks. The workshop was keenly attended by about 90 students from BA, BBA and UG honors. Prof Meenakshi Thakur, Prof Ajay Kumar, Prof Shiv Kumar, Prof Vijeeta Anand, Prof Ashraf, Prof Bhanupriya, Prof Meena Gupta and Prof Vishally Sharma, and Prof Anil Singh were instrumental in organizing the event. |
