| Department of Statistics organized a Webinar on ‘Scope of Statistics in collaboration with IQAC. The Resource person of the webinar was Dr V. K. Shivgotra, Assistant professor, Department of Statistics, University of Jammu, Jammu. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr Karan Singh head of the department. The Webinar was hosted by Dr Sandeep Singh Charak, A .A. Assistant Professor. The objective of the webinar was to provide knowledge to students about the different career fields where the students of Statistics can go after their studies. Dr V.K.Shivgotra very well explained these career fields step by step. He explained the whole process of recruitment in different career fields of Statistics subject. He also elaborates the different examination pattern and marks distribution in examination paper and all other relevant information regarding the recruitment policies and agencies. Dr Sandeep Singh Charak also spoke about the event. The program was organized in collaboration with IQAC Govt. Post Graduate Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu under the patronage of Prof.(Dr.) G.S. Rakwal , Principal Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu. In all, 170 participants were attended the webinar including students and faculties of the college. The other staff members who made this event successful Dr Ameena Rajput and Dr Urvashi Gupta. Dr Sandeep Singh Charak was the technical coordinator and host of the webinar. Vote of thanks was given by Dr Ameena Rajput faculty of the Statistics department, Govt.
